A guilty conscience needs to confess. A work of art is a confession.

Quote above by Albert Camus

If that quote above is true. What do you think these pictures are trying to confess?

"A Fashion is Nothing but an Induced Epidemic"

Quote above by George Bernard Shaw

So my doves, I want to address something very important.
Fashion.
There are several things that get my blood flowing (for once), chamber music, poison rings (still containing actual poisons a plus), a freshly sharpened Iron Maiden, Chambord wine, and clothes. My appreciation of fashion did not come until I was in my early twenties. I began to care about my appearance differently, not from the standpoint of others interpretation of what I was suppose to look like but rather, what made me feel good.
This led to the merger, of mind and body. I found my true self, my feminine self, my dark self, my cute self, and she began to make her appearance known.
I want to share with you some of my favorite styles and sites on fashion.

First off is a site that I have recently been haunting almost everynight, Haute Macabre. Ah! This website is filth! Pure pornography! I love it. It is filled with ghastly photographs, gruesome jewelry, and disgustingly decadent displays of dress! Please! Get me away from this site before I rot away on this uncomfortable computer chair! It is the merger of haute couture and "goth" clothing that I adore. Something I think others do not see or acknowledge on the couture side or the goth side of it. We think of the marriage of these two as being improbable. Well nay I say! Nay! Goth can be classic, couture, high end and relevant and this site has the proof!

"alamode night" gothic & lolita club in Tokyo

I don't know if you know this but the Japanese have a lock down on the macabre. They know horror like none other and I can appreciate such deviance. The level of which they merge this with fashion is poetry and I am a slave to it. My favorite brands are Moi Meme Moitie, Antique Beast, Julliet et Justine, Atelier Pierriot, Luciferrot , & Mille-Noirs . Next to the space where my heart should be is, instead, these sites. I covet every item on the sites. Feminine, dark, decadent, and hard to obtain.... just like myself, haha!

Jean Paul Gaultier Runway Show

Now what completes an outfit? What separates a good outfit from a bad outfit? What truly decides if you really do have an eye for fashion the way you think you do? Well the accessories of course! So where do I find the best accessories to my ensemble? Some of these sites may surprise you. You can never tell where the best little jems may appear. Ozzy, Tarina Tarantino, Absolute Corsets, MetroPark, Decarabia, After Dark, Refuse to be Usual, & Forever 21 . Are you surprised by this list? Well you shouldn't be! Beyond Tarina Tarantino's seizure inducing palette of neons there is an amazing collection of lucite skull jewelry, MetroPark has surprisingly darque accessories beyond their California douche bag hipster facade, and Forever21 has delicate and nostalgic jewelry like feather veils, black rose earrings, and necklaces.

Welcome to my playhouse!

Hello!
My name is Haetorigusa and this is my playhouse, Les Fleur du Mal!
This is where you will find my musings on the macabre, the spooky, the creepy, the romantic, weird, beautiful, decadent, and most importantly, the cute!
The title of this particular blog is the name of a famous poem by Charles Baudelaire called "Les Fleurs du Mal" or "The Flowers of Evil". This poem was very scandalous for its time and set Monsieur Baudelaire's future as a bit of a shit-stirer. But like many famous outlaws and rebels, I love him. Please do take the time to read some of his works, I'm sure you'll be able to take something away from it.
I hope to use this blog as a way to connect my love of writing with my love of the material world. This is not exclusively a gothic lolita blog but it will have the markings of one with that mindset.
I do hope you enjoy and please stay awhile.
